We design sustainable environments that respond to purpose and place, enhance the visitor experience, and forge connections with nature. Our projects include visitor centers, environmental education and interpretive centers, camps, and outdoor recreation.

Creating Experiences

Design with nature enables personal immersion and discovery, shaped by sensitively placed and scaled buildings, an integrated response to wind and sun, use of native materials, and elegant form.

Connecting to Place

An understanding of the cultural and natural history leads to a cognitive sense of place, while experiencing natural communities through various activities, seasons, weather, day and night, creates a visceral sense of place. Through design, connections to the place are forged.

Ecological Stewardship

Designing in harmony with nature promotes clean air and; clean water, and helping plant and animal communities to thrive—while creating economic viability.
