Amber Sausen
AIA, LEED AP BD+C, WELL APAmber is a passionate sustainability advocate who brings fresh energy to design at Alliiance. She has been responsible for managing the LEED and B3 process for many of the firm’s projects, ensuring they meet the SB2030 Energy Standard and exceeding client goals and code standards. She excels at communication with client teams, bringing all participants into design conversations. Having received Change Leadership and Change Management certificates from Cornell University, Amber brings specialized expertise in change management, communication, WELL, and sustainable design. She holds a master’s in architecture from the University of Minnesota as well as undergraduate degrees in Spanish and architecture.
Amber is an active volunteer in the Twin Cities community as part of the AIA Minnesota’s Lake Superior Design Retreat Committee and as an administrator of Urban Sketchers Twin Cities. She has served on the board of directors of the Minnesota Environmental Fund and as president of the global nonprofit Urban Sketchers. When she isn’t leading groups of fellow sketchers around the world, Amber can be found bicycling around town—rain or shine.
