Faced with a significant increase in visitors, and much-needed operational improvements, the AppleHouse at the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum was looking for a new facility.

The new ground-up facility, currently in design, will be named the Honeycrisp Welcome Center and located by the new Arboretum’s entry drive, south of County Highway 5 in Chaska. As a gateway to the Arboretum, the welcome center will maintain the signature rustic charm of the current AppleHouse while fitting into the overall style of the Arboretum.

The new facility will be open to the public year-round and include in-season apples as well as the sale of flowers, seasonal foods and gifts, and a Holiday Market. The project is anticipated to be open for operation in 2026, pending potential donors.
