Aviation Design Architect
We are seeking Aviation Design Architects who are passionate about airport design and experienced in the planning and design of airport terminals with consideration to airport operations, passenger flow, and phasing. Candidates should be adept at integrating the ticketing, security, baggage handling, and sense of place objectives into an uplifting passenger-centric environment. Candidates must be graduates of accredited architecture programs, licensed with 10-15 years of experience and a diverse knowledge of architecture principles, practice, and design detailing.
Our aviation designers work in conjunction with lead designers, establishing design concepts, planning, laying-out, and creatively solving the functional and spatial requirements of airport projects.
Working in a collaborative team setting we value spirited designers who are—or strive to become—knowledgeable about planning best practices, the importance of integrating systems and infrastructure in design, who are interested in the integration of materials, assemblies, and detailing, and who have an ability to ground design ideas in broader knowledge and experience.
Aviation designer involvement continues throughout all the project phases to develop and detail the design.
Excellent communication skills and the effective use of graphic and visualization tools are essential. Participation in business development activities and design presentations in collaboration with other project leaders is likely.
Primary Roles and Responsibilities include:
- Working closely, on a day-to-day basis, with the lead designer, project manager, and other team members to develop graphic and written design solutions for client approval
- Creating project visuals including renderings and diagrams, during the design phases
- Researching and evaluating project context, including site, surrounding buildings and urban planning
- Evaluating projects in the context of relevant local, state, and federal regulations
- Analyzing and selecting building materials and systems for projects
- Communicating design related topics and decisions to the design team and the client
- Assisting with project presentations to the client and others as required
- Effectively utilizing software and graphic tools; with required proficiency in Revit, SketchUp, and Enscape, some knowledge of AutoCAD, competence in Adobe Creative Suite applications, and Grasshopper and Rhino experience is desired
- Participating in firm-sponsored training and professional development activities
- Collaborating with team members and stakeholders through flexible work arrangements
Aviation Project Architect
We are seeking experienced Aviation Project Architects with a working knowledge of airport terminal planning, design, operation, and passenger flow. Candidates should be adept at integrating ticketing, security, baggage handling, and sense of place criteria into an uplifting passenger-centric environment. Candidates must be graduates of accredited architecture programs with a minimum of seven years of experience and licensure in process or completed. Excellent communication skills and a sound working knowledge of airport design and architecture principles are essential.
Primary Roles and Responsibilities include:
- Working closely, on a day-to-day basis, with the project designer, project manager, and other team members
- Developing project documents during the design, bidding, and construction phases
- Coordinating the drawing work of the design team
- Coordinating the efforts of the specialty and aviation specific consultants
- Communicating the project related issues and decisions to the client
- Assisting with project presentations to the client and others as required
- Meeting established project budgets and schedules
- Implementing the project quality control measures
- Coordinating with the construction team, on a day-to-day basis, during the construction phase of the project
- Effectively utilizing technical software and graphic tools; with required proficiency in Revit, some knowledge of SketchUp and AutoCAD, and competence in Adobe Creative Suite applications
- Participating in firm-sponsored training and professional development activities

Senior Aviation Project Architect
We are seeking experienced Senior Aviation Project Architects who are passionate about airport development. Candidates must have a working knowledge of airport terminal planning, design, operation, passenger flow, and phasing; and should be adept at integrating ticketing, security, baggage handling, and sense of place criteria into an uplifting passenger-centric environment. Candidates must be graduates of accredited architecture programs, licensed with 15 years plus of experience and a diverse knowledge of architecture principles, practice, building detailing, and advanced technologies. Excellent communication skills and a sound working knowledge of airport design are essential.
Alliiance Senior Aviation Project Architects are team leaders and stewards of design excellence, their roles and responsibilities include:
- Supervising a staff of architects and technicians
- Working closely on a day-to-day basis, with the project designer, project manager, and other team members
- Working collaboratively with the design team regarding architectural methods and practices
- Supervising and guiding team members concerning overall objectives, critical issues, new concepts, quality control, and policy matters
- Coordinating and directing the project documentation by the design team
- Analyzing code requirements in the context of relevant local, state, and federal regulations
- Analyzing, selecting, and detailing building materials and systems for projects
- Communicating the project related issues and decisions to the client
- Leading project presentations to the client and others as required
