Celebrating the Retirement of Stuart Stephens, AIA, LEED AP

in

After more than 30 years of dedication to our firm and the aviation industry, we are proud to celebrate the retirement of Alliiance Principal, Stuart Stephens, AIA, LEED AP.

Since joining the firm in 1995, Stuart quickly became a respected architect and leader in our Aviation Studio, leading complex projects across the country while building lasting relationships with clients, partners, and colleagues.

Early in his career at Alliiance, Stuart contributed to numerous projects for Northwest Airlines and for the Metropolitan Airports Commission at Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport. Over the years, he helped shape some of our most impactful aviation projects, including work in San Diego, Raleigh-Durham, Nashville, and Madison, as well as long-standing partnerships in Memphis and Little Rock.

Stuart’s expertise in leading complex aviation projects has always been matched by his ability to build strong client relationships. His work at Memphis, which began in 2003 and continues today, and at Little Rock, where he has led projects since 2009, are a testament to the trust and partnership he cultivated throughout his career.

While Stuart’s leadership has left a lasting mark on airports nationwide, those who have worked alongside him know his greatest legacy is the impact he’s had on people. He has mentored many of our staff not by seeking the spotlight, but by asking thoughtful questions, encouraging healthy discussion, and showing us that great leaders don’t need to be the loudest voice in the room. His calm demeanor, ability to navigate complex challenges, and investment in the success of others has made both our firm and our profession stronger.

As former Director of Human Resources, Stuart played an important role in recruiting and developing talent, strengthening our culture of mentorship, and supporting the growth of emerging professionals.

Thank you, Stuart, for your leadership and mentorship over the years. We wish you the very best in this next chapter!
